Our Story

Forty-three years on the loudest street in Kolkata.

Gariahat doesn’t whisper; it roars. It’s a beautiful, chaotic collision of buses, bargaining, and relentless afternoon heat. And right in the middle of it, since 1983, our family has been sitting behind the glass counters of Rajlakshmi Jewellers, quietly weighing gold. We survived the decades the hard way—by looking the matriarchs of this city in the eye and handing over pure, uncompromised weight.

But time is a funny thing; it shifts the light. Lately, the granddaughters have been walking through our doors. They carry the same fiercely proud Bengali blood, but they aren’t looking for the gold of their ancestors. They want silver. Not the cheap, machine-stamped tin you find in the malls, but something with gravity. They are looking for silver that catches the light like a frozen river—heavy, meticulously carved, and thick with the Sabekiana of a forgotten era.

So, we didn’t run away to some quiet, sterile boutique. We stayed right here in the beautiful noise. We took our best Bowbazar karigars—the old masters who shape bridal gold with their bare hands—and gave them a new fire. Homagni is the result. It is 43 years of Rajlakshmi’s ironclad trust, poured directly into premium, heritage silver. You get the exact same pulse of Gariahat, the exact same master craftsmen, but a new, heavy silver heirloom that feels like it has belonged to your family for a hundred years.
