Buyback & Exchange Policy

1. Introduction

Homagni offers a lifetime buyback and exchange facility on silver jewellery purchased from us. This is separate from, and in addition to, our 7-day Cancellation, Return, Refund & Exchange Policy, and applies for as long as you own the piece.

2. Eligibility

  • Any silver jewellery purchased from Homagni is eligible for buyback or exchange from the day after purchase — there is no minimum holding period.
  • The product must have been purchased directly from Homagni (online, via WhatsApp, or in-store). Silver jewellery not purchased from Homagni is not eligible under this Policy.

3. Proof of Purchase

  • The original tax invoice is mandatory to avail buyback or exchange.
  • If the original invoice cannot be produced, we will be unable to process the buyback or exchange request. We are unable to make exceptions to this requirement, as the invoice is what allows us to verify the item against our own sale record.

4. Valuation

  • The buyback/exchange value is calculated based on the silver weight recorded on your original invoice, at the prevailing market rate of silver on the day the buyback or exchange request is processed.
  • Making charges and taxes paid at the time of original purchase are not included in the buyback/exchange value.
  • The prevailing market rate of silver used for this calculation will be as determined by Homagni on the day of the transaction.

5. Buyback

Under buyback, we purchase the eligible item back from you at the value calculated per Section 4, paid out via UPI or bank transfer.

6. Lifetime Exchange

Under exchange, the value calculated per Section 4 is adjusted against the price of a new Homagni piece of your choice.

  • If the new piece costs more than the exchange value, you pay the difference.
  • If the new piece costs less, the balance is refunded to you via UPI.

7. Condition of the Product

Normal wear consistent with regular use is acceptable and does not affect eligibility. However, items that have been significantly altered, resized, or repaired by a jeweller other than Homagni may require additional verification, and we reserve the right to decline buyback/exchange where the item's authenticity or silver content cannot be confidently verified.

8. How to Initiate a Buyback or Exchange

You may reach out to us via email or WhatsApp to express your interest in a buyback or exchange, but the transaction itself — including weighing, verification, and valuation — must be completed in person at our Gariahat store, along with your original invoice. We do not offer remote or courier-based buyback/exchange at this time.
